Before an enormous crowd of 40,578, the biggest Sydney racetrack attendance in more than 15 years, the run of the day came from runner-up Trapeze Artist who ran in Aquis’ slot in the $13 million The TAB Everest (1200m).

The four-year-old entire sired by Snitzel out of Treppes (Domesday) is dominating as a world-class sprinter with Rosehill based trainer Gerald Ryan.

Redzel, led throughout to win The Everest by one-and-a-quarter lengths from a very game Trapeze Artist, being one of the only horses to make up ground with the Randwick track rated a Heavy 9, Trapeze Artist settled fourth on the rail before peeling out with a gallant run home to finish second behind Redzel.

With already an outstanding three Group One wins under his belt, including the ATC TJ Smith, ATC All Aged Stakes and the ATC Golden Rose, Trapeze Artist is not finished yet and certainly has the world at his feet.
