Domesday

Red Ransom x In The Past (by Zafonic)
RETIRED
Years at Stud: 2006 - 2019

After a stellar stud career, Domesday has now been retired from official stud duties.

A son of the outstanding sire Red Ransom with a female family that traces back to the influential matriarch Best In Show, who is also the fourth dam of Champion Sire Redoute’s Choice, Domesday is a sensational looker.

A stunning individual that was purchased by the Ingham family for $420,000 at Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Domesday was a brilliant 2YO winning the Gr.2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) before finishing second to Written Tycoon in the Gr.2 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m).

A versatile sire of juveniles, sprinters and middle-distance horses, headed by Gr.1 winners Extra Brut, Daysee Doom, Ruthven, Pressday and Doctor Doom, Domesday has covered impressive books of mares in his time at Canungra, with astute breeders continuing to support him.

Completely free of the Danzig and Danehill blood, Domesday’s daughters are now starting to continue his legacy, highlighted by Champion 3YO and four-time Gr.1 winner Trapeze Artist.

  • "Domesday gets tough and sound horses, who have a will to win. That’s what the Australian buying bench desires – winners! He is the real value horse who can get Group 1 winners like Ruthven, what more can you ask for."
