On Saturday in Macau, Pearl Green again made headlines when taking out the Group 1 Macau Derby (Listed, 1800m) – the final leg of the Macau Triple Crown series. In doing so, Pearl Green became only the second horse in history to win the Triple Crown, following in the steps of Luen Yat Forever who was the first to complete the feat when winning the Triple Crown in 2010.

Pearl Green, who is a 4YO son of Fastnet Rock bred by Gerry Harvey of Baramul Stud, had long been the favourite to win the Derby, having won the first leg of the series (Group 3 Derby Trial) by 4.5L and the second leg (Group 1 Macau Guineas) by 3L.

Pearl Green is one of a growing list of successful private purchases brokered by Aquis for our extensive Asian client base and he has taken the local racing scene by storm since joining the stable of K H Leong.
