A last start third in the Group One Ascot British Champions Sprint Stakes, classy Dream Ahead sprinter Donjuan Triumphant gained some consolation when taking out the Listed Wentworth Stakes at Doncaster on Saturday.

Trained by Andrew Balding, Donjuan Triumphant scored a tenacious head win in the six furlong sprint taking his overall record to six wins and 12 placings from 30 starts with a Group Two victory in the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte, his crowning achievement.

A five year-old stallion from winning Tagula mare Mathuna, Donjuan Triumphant is one of 20 stakes-winners worldwide for Aquis shuttler Dream Ahead (USA).

A great outcross sire with a particular affinity with Redoute’s Choice line mares, Dream Ahead stands at a fee of $16,500 and is the sire of current season Group Two winner Shumookh.
