With the 2019/2020 racing season now complete, Aquis is extremely proud to highlight that no first season-sire recorded more individual winners or wins than Mr Fung’s foundation stallion, the late Spill The Beans, throughout the season.

To further highlight what a fantastic season Spill The Beans’ juveniles had in Australia, only three sires; Snitzel, I Am Invincible and Not A Single Doubt, all established Gr.1 sires, recorded more individual 2YO wins, putting Spill The Beans ahead of Exceed And Excel, Written Tycoon, Sebring and Fastnet Rock.

Led by the multiple winners Tumbler Ridge, Cosmic Gossip, Bangers And Mayo and Tennessee Boy, Spill The Bean’s progeny recorded in excess of $1m in earnings, one of only two stallions with first crop runners during the season to achieve the feat.

Having previously claimed the honour of becoming Spill The Beans’ first Metropolitan winning filly and being awarded a $25,000 Bonus, Mr Basil Nolan of Raheen Stud, the breeder of Cosmic Gossip will now be awarded a lucrative $100,000 bonus after his breeder-bonus qualified filly achieved more prizemoney than any other qualified 2yo by Spill The Beans during the season.

Aquis supports breeders and this incentive is just one of the many examples of Aquis giving back to the breeders who support their stallions.

A winner of two races, and in the top five on five occasions from her 10 starts at 2, the Stuart Kendrick-trained filly has form around some of the most exciting juveniles in Queensland such as Rothfire, Kisukano, Plutocrat and Tumbler Ridge and we look forward to the upcoming campaign for the Mrs Fung-part owned 3yo filly.

Covering over 140 mares in his second book, we look forward to Spill The Beans’ current 2yo crop hitting the track in the spring, and also watching his 3yo crop continue to build on the exciting start they made during their juvenile season.
