Aquis is pleased to announce it will take on the TAB to assist drought relief as part of its sponsorship of the Aquis Race Day at Muswellbrook Race Club (MRC) on August 21.

Aquis will provide racing and media identity Richard Callander with $2,500 to punt on each race, with all earnings and stakes donated to local drought relief charities.

Glen Munsie, on behalf of the TAB and Sky Sports Racing, will guarantee any shortfall on the day to the sum of $20,000, so whatever the result, it is a win for local farming communities in the Upper Hunter!

MRC General Manager Duane Dowell was delighted to announce Aquis had partnered with the club for the race day.

“As a significant part of the Hunter Valley breeding industry Muswellbrook Race Club is thrilled to have Aquis on-board,” he said.

“The Aquis Race Day on the 21st August is well positioned to showcase their growing business and fantastic list of stallions on offer for this upcoming breeding season.”

Aquis will award the breeder of the winner of each race on the day a 25% discount off their stallions’ advertised stud fees (excluding first season stallions) and a 30% discount if the breeder wishes to book multiple mares to Aquis stallions in the 2018 breeding season.

Aquis CEO Shane McGrath said the company was happy to support Hunter Valley racing and struggling farmers.

“The Muswellbrook Race Club do an exceptional job promoting racing locally and have a great committee. The track and facilities are a testament to their devotion and we are extremely grateful for the support Aquis and our stallions have received in our short time here,” he said.

“The Aquis Race Day at Muswellbrook kicks off the start of a massive week for Hunter valley breeders and stallion owners and we look forward to seeing you there.

“We would like to extend our gratitude to Muswellbrook Race Club, and to Richard Callander, Glen Munsie, the TAB and Sky Sports Racing for their generous support to the drought relief as it is a cause that is close to all our hearts.”
