Overview

Kobayashi is launching himself into breeding season ’24 with a raft of recent winners: notably the hugely exciting 2YO, Mishani Lily – the winner of 4 including the black type Dalrello Stakes and QTIS Jewel Prelude.

Producing Group performer and Randwick winner, Midnight in Tokyo, in his first crop, Kobayashi was a top 10 Australian Second Season Sire via money spinners Mishani Royale, Mishani Gangster, Matilly and co.

A tremendous winner-getter, the trend has continued this season with first crop flyers – 7-time winner Bring Me Kash and Our Kobison (5 wins) – and current 2YO winners Mishani Aloha, Mishani Rock, Mishani Lily etc.
Indeed, Kobayashi is currently one of the Leading Australian 2YO Sires by winners.

An exciting juvenile himself, with exceptional speed, Kobayashi won his first two starts by more than a combined five length margin, highlighted by success in the Listed Thoroughbred Club Cup (1200m) at Caulfield, a race won in the past by the unbeaten Champion and multiple Horse of the Year Black Caviar.

The first son of the breed-shaper and recording-breaking sire I Am Invincible to stand at stud in Queensland, Kobayashi has been very popular with breeders.

As a complete outcross to Danehill blood, Kobayashi’s pedigree is littered with not only 2YO winners, but black type 2YOs and being by Australia’s Champion sire, Kobayashi is an extremely exciting proposition.
