The annual Magic Millions yearling sales and racing carnival brought more success for Aquis Farm as vendors,  purchasers and  owners.

The Aquis Farm sponsored Ladies Day of racing at the Gold Coast on January 6 delivered the perfect curtain raiser for the sensational week that was to follow with the Tony McEvoy trained Sunlight showing her form ahead of a dominant win in the magic Millions 2YO Classic a week later.

Given the success of Sunlight, the Aquis Farm team hit the sales with great enthusiasm securing a dozen colts in various partnerships that will head into the stables of some of the leading trainers in the country.

Included in the group are colts by the some of the best stallions in the country in Snitzel, Not a Single Doubt, Written Tycoon, I Am Invincible, Medaglia D’Oro (USA) and Pierro.

The Aquis Farm yearling draft was prepared in the Hunter Valley and arrived at the Gold Coast in top order with strong sale ring results the proof of a well presented and well marketed consignment.

Aquis sold 22 yearlings for $3,770,000 in Book One at an average price of $171,364 with our top seller the half-brother to Golden Slipper winner Sepoy by leading sire I am Invincible.

Offered on behalf of Emirates Park, the stunning bay colt fetched $700,000 to the bid of Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott on behalf of a Syndicate which includes Aquis Farm.

We congratulate all purchasers and wish everyone the best of luck going forward.

We were also delighted to see some great results for our Queensland stallions, with Coolmore selling a Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) colt from Phocis for $260,000 in Book One, while Widden Stud sold a Husson (Arg) colt from Ibis for $200,000 in Book Two.
