Aquis is pleased to announce the acquisition of gun outcross sprinter Spieth.
The five-year-old is a Listed winner that has twice placed second at Group I level – the VRC Darley Calssic (to Malaguerra) and Lightning Stakes (to Terravista).
After a short spell over Christmas Spieth commenced working with David Hayes’ Lindsay Park stables in January.

Aquis CEO Shane McGrath said he was a great buy for Aquis and would likely commence stud duties for the group after his racing career.
“He’s an outcross, has speed and is an outstanding individual. He’s a 10 out of 10 physically and went within a lip of being a Group One winner.”
“Race credentials are one thing but physical presence is another and that’s what you want to see. If he produces yearlings that look like himself he’ll make a commercial stallion.”
A $200,000 NZB Premier purchase, he is by champion sire Thorn Park from a half-sister to European Group I winner Ransom O’War and further back we see Group I winner and promising shuttle sire Charm Spirit (IRE).
